He will be working with an professional web designer and host ing expert to get our websites back up and funning and to suggest any changes that we may desire. Zack has offered to help in this transition and I trust that between the three of them, they can get us going soon

This is a follow-up from the last Board, who choose the IGLHRC (International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission) as the designated charity of Second Pride. We are going to be transferring $1000 US to them. I will coordinate this transfer with our Treasurer this week assuming that the Board passes a resolution to disburse the funds. With that in mind: I put forth a resolution to authorize the transfer of the $1000 US (the equivalent amount in Lindens) to the LGBTHRC representative here in Second Life.

“Jamey’s Warroirs”
The purpose of this event was to raise awarness.
Bullying and suicide are more in the news then ever.
Our goal was to get more people involved in their local communities
We started off the Event on Saturday the 22nd with DJ Jared Palianto who was also the inspiration for this event. Jared’s passion for wanting to help and do something positive is what lead up to the event!!! He gathered information and was a leader in helping organize. My many Thanks Jared! Also want thank Tadd Rives for having the event in his club!!!It couldn’t have been such a success without the help of Eddi Haskell !!
Eddi di a fantastic job of getting the word out!! Not to mention taking pictures..Thank you so much Eddi!
I would also like to thanks all the other DJ’s and Dancers and Hosts who not only gave up their time but gave all their tips as well!! Bravo! We raised 53,505 lindens from the event but more importantly we DID raise awarness..

Several weeks ago, I got together with some people who wanted to help with Events…
We had a discussion about a Holiday Event.
Eddi Haskell suggested a Tree Decorating contest. So it was Born…
Second Pride Presents: A Festival of Lights.
After having a meeting of the small group we came up with an idea , a way to do it, and how it should be done.
The contest will consist of a person or persons, group, organization or business that would be able to participate in a friendly competition .
The judging would be easy…we will use a photo contest board and people can pay to vote for their favorite tree.
At the End of the Contest, we are having a party to celebrate all the different entries and of course, the Season.
So we:
Set up an area for the trees.
Decorated the rest of the parcel.
Set up some icing skating areas around a river, a frozen pound and stream.
Along side, we have a pathway and some places to sit, chat and admire the scenery.
The Project is complete and ready to go.
The advertising and decorating can start anytime (now).
The voting should start around December 14th.
BEGINNING TODAY, YOU CAN:
Pick out a tree.
Pay the vendor box $1L (Linden).
Decorate your tree.
Put your name on the contest board.
Get people to vote for you. (dragging works)
Afterwards, we will have a dance to celebrate!
PARTICIPANTS will be allowed only 200 prims and one scripted item.
There will be no limits on the amount of voting,
but the votes are $10L (Lindens) apiece.
We hope to attract many Tree Decorators to make this Festival of lights a success.
So fellow board members, Spread the word and get as many people involved as possible! We need lots of votes to make this fundraising a success.

We have a team of about 6-7 people, Tootsie has volunteered to check over the scripting issues and make sure we do not have a lag mess to deal with
[11:56 AM] Doc (doc.spad): The interesting thing about the build team is that NO ONE wants to get directly involved with the Board or “politics” of the build. They just want to build. If we do not have a build director, at the moment, I’m not letting that get in the way of moving forward. I will head up a group consisting of other Board members and other interested parties and work as the go between, to keep the builders insulated from the mish-mash. I assume that one of the members of this group will eventually step up and assume the position…..:)…of Build Director

I brought up the idea that we should create five separate sims, each reflecting a different RL Pride celebration, and do what we can to involve RL Pride organizations. Our involvement with Interpride might help along these lines by helping establish lines of communication and interest.

I would like to give the sim builders some creative licence to “run with it” and develop build components with the guidelines we generate. BUT…we can’t expect these builders to be micro-managed.
